Biographical Information[edit]
Al Demaree was a sports cartoonist after his playing career; he was syndicated in more than 200 papers at one time. The Sporting News used his cartoons for 30 years. He retired from his cartoons in 1952. Shortly before his death he was robbed of $1100 savings and died penniless. Albert is buried in Harbor Lawn Cementery in Costa Mesa, Calif. His grave is unmarked but he is found in www.findagrave.com
