Biographical Information

Akane Nakamura debuted in the Japan Women's Baseball League in 2010. She was the main left fielder for Japan in the 2012 Women's Baseball World Cup, hitting .263/.364/.368; she had the worst stats of any of their starting position players. In the Gold Medal game, she hit 7th and went 0 for 3 as Japan beat the US.
