Agustín Lescaille López
Agustín Lescaille was a power-hitting Cuban first baseman. In 1980-1981, he hit 15 home runs for Guantánamo to lead the Cuban Serie Nacional; he also tied for the most sacrifice flies (5). His 14 doubles tied for the eastern league lead in 1988-1989.
Through 2004, Lescaille was tied for third in seasons played by a Cuban position player (22); of the players with 22+ seasons, he was the only one who never had played for the Cuban national team. He also was among the leaders in at-bats (7,326, 2nd). His 18,169 putouts were more than 1,000 ahead of the runner-up. Entering 2009, he was tied for 24th in career home runs (212).
Lescaille hit .274/.337/.414 in his Cuban career with 1,017 RBI in 7,326 AB. He managed Guantánamo later on.
