Biographical Information[edit]
Adrian Martin was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 19th round of the 2003 Amateur Draft and played in their minor league system into 2010. In this latter year he also played in the San Francisco Giants organization. Through seven minor league seasons Martin had a 36-16 record with 11 saves and a 3.74 ERA. Martin finished 2010 with the Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League. He continued to pitch with independent league teams through 2015.
After his playing career ended, Martin turned to coaching. He joined the St. Louis Cardinals organization in 2017 as a coach for the Memphis Redbirds. He was a pitching coach for the State College Spikes in 2018-2019. Martin was slated for a promotion to the Peoria Chiefs in 2020 before COVID-19 wiped out the minor league season.
Martin returned to the Blue Jays organization in 2022 as their complex pitching coach and continued in this position in 2023. He changed roles in 2024, this time working as the organization's assistant rehabilitation pitching coach.
