Biographical Information[edit]
Adolfo Borrell was a second baseman in the Cuban Serie Nacional. He played for Las Villas originally then spent his final 10 years with Cienfuegos. He hit .233/.311/.314 for his career, fielding .947 and stealing 92 bases in 149 tries. His best season was probably 1979-1980 when the 26-year-old batted .308 and stole 14 bases in 20 attempts. He twice led the league in minor departments: his three sacrifice flies tied for the most in 1982-1983 and he led with 11 hit-by-pitch in 1983-1984.
