Alberto Civil has been an outfielder for the Ciego de Avila Tigers in the Cuban Serie Nacional. In 2007-2008, he hit .287/.358/.442 while backing up at all three outfield slots. He batted .279/.364/.532 in a similar role in 2008-2009 then fell to .261/.303/.383 while fielding only .918 in 2009-2010. Civil became the main left fielder for Ciego de Avila in 2010-2011. He produced at a .304/.377/.495 rate.
