Abbey McLellan has been on the Australian women's national team.
She had ankle, knee and elbow injuries [1] including knee reconstruction at age 21 [2] before making her debut on the world stage. In the 2018 Women's Baseball World Cup, she flew out against Mayumis Solano her first time up. Her first hit was off Lorena Medrano. She finished at .450/.607/.550 with six runs in eight games; playing mostly first and a little catcher, she handled 43 chances error-free. Only Taylah Welch and Shae Lillywhite had more hits for the Aussies. [3] She was back with Australia for the 2023 Women's Baseball World Cup. [4]
