Biographical Information[edit]
Aaron MacKenzie pitched briefly in the minor leagues. In the 1999-2000 International Baseball League of Australia, he allowed 7 runs in 8 innings for the Western Australia Heelers. He came to the US in 2004 to pitch for the AZL Angels, going 0-4 with a 5.84 ERA and .323 opponent average. In 2005, he went 0-3 with a 5.58 ERA in 49 games for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, allowing a .293 average and 1.80 WHIP. In the 2005 Baseball World Cup, he pitched for Australia, going 0-1 with 3 runs allowed in 4 2/3 innings and taking the loss against Taiwan. His 5.79 ERA was the highest on a strong Australian staff, not much worse than AAA hurler Adrian Burnside.
