AIB began sponsoring baseball in the 2013-2014 school year. The school announced a merger with the University of Iowa, becoming University of Iowa Des Moines [1]. The merger was expected to be completed by the end of the 2015-2016 school year, but it left the athletics program in a state of uncertinty [2]. The baseball team played its last game in 2015 [3].
