Biographical Information[edit]
A.J. Achter made his major league debut on September 3, 2014 for the Minnesota Twins, pitching a perfect inning against the Chicago White Sox to close out an 11-4 win[1]. Achter was once again a Twins late-season call-up in 2015 before being claimed off waivers by the Philadelphia Phillies and later the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim during the 2015-2016 offseason[2]. As of 2019, he serves as the pitching coach for Eastern Michigan University[3]. Achter is the son of former NFL wide receiver Rod Achter.
