The 2020 Central League Rookie of the Year Award was won easily by the Hiroshima Carp's Masato Morishita (10-3, 1.91, 124 K in 122 2/3 IP), with 303 of 313 votes. The Yomiuri Giants' Shosei Togo got 9 votes after going 9-6 with a 2.76 ERA, while one vote went to Yakult Swallows reliever Noboru Shimizu (0-4, 3.54).
