2006 Asia Series

The second annual Asia Series was not quite as predictable as the first. While the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters of Nippon Pro Baseball cruised to the title and the China Stars finished last, the La New Bears of the Chinese Professional Baseball League stunned the Samsung Lions (Korea Baseball Organization) to make it to the finals. La New gave a surprising challenge to Nippon Ham, falling 1-0 to Series MVP Yu Darvish.
