The 1998 Italian Series was won by Caffe Danesi Nettuno. It was the fifteenth Serie A1 scudetto for Nettuno. This would be the first of five consecutive Italian Series between these two teams. Cipriano Ventura won two games and 1B Ruggero Bagialemani hit two HR's and 10 RBI's.
