History, Comments, Contributions[edit]
The 1965 California Angels started the season playing as the "Los Angeles Angels", as they had done since their inaugural season in 1961. However, late in the year, they announced that they would be henceforth called the California Angels, in anticipation to the move to Angel Stadium, in Anaheim, CA, starting in 1966, and all of their records for the 1965 season are listed under the new name.
