History, Comments, Contributions[edit]

The Baltimore Marylands joined the National Association for the 1873 season. Unfortunately the team lasted only 6 games before dropping out on the July 11th. Of the 6, 2 were against the Washington Blue Legs, and 4 were against their instate rivals the Baltimore Canaries. In each of the 6 games the Marylands were blown out by a combined score of 152-26. The Marylands played only 1 home game their entire shortened season.
