Just playing around with Baseball-Reference.com's Play Index Batting Game Finder, looking for guys since 1954 who got off to a fast start, in terms of having big games where they got on base a lot, I was able to work up this list setting the filters for "From 1954 to 2009, In team's first 40 games, (requiring TOB>=3), sorted by greatest number of games matching selected criteria in a game."
