  As part of a 3-team trade, traded Gary Lucas to the Montreal Expos. Received Fritzie Connally, Craig Lefferts and Carmelo Martínez from the Chicago Cubs and Al Newman from the Montreal Expos. In addition, the Montreal Expos sent Scott Sanderson to the Chicago Cubs.
