  Traded Stuffy McInnis to the Boston Red Sox. Received a player to be named later, Forrest Cady and Larry Gardner. The Boston Red Sox sent Tillie Walker (February 20, 1918) to the Philadelphia Athletics to complete the trade.

• January 15, 1918

  Traded players to be named later to Baltimore (International). Received Wickey McAvoy and Red Shannon. The Philadelphia Athletics sent Otis Lawry (January 15, 1918), Pug Griffin (January 15, 1918), Cliff Hill (January 15, 1918), Rube Parnham (January 15, 1918) and Billy Meyer (January 15, 1918) to Baltimore (International) to complete the trade.
