  Signed Ownie Carroll as an amateur free agent.

  Bert Cole player rights sold to the Cleveland Indians.

• September 1, 1925

  Traded players to be named later to Fort Worth (Texas). Received Augie Johns and Billy Mullen. The Detroit Tigers sent Homer Ezzell (December 10, 1925) and Ernest Vache (December 10, 1925) to Fort Worth (Texas) to complete the trade. (Date given is approximate. Exact date is uncertain.)

  Traded a player to be named later, Everett Spikes (minors), Dutch Leonard, Buck Redfern and cash and 3 players to be named to Vernon (PCL). Received Jack Warner. The Detroit Tigers sent Bob Jones (September 25, 1925) to Vernon (PCL) to complete the trade.
