Woo-ram Jung is a left-handed reliever for the SK Wyverns.
Jung debuted in 2004, allowing two runs in 2 2/3 IP for the SK Wyverns as a teenager. In 2005, he did a great job as a LOOGY, going 3-1 with a save and a 1.69 ERA in 59 games; in 48 2/3 innings, he surrendered only 28 hits. Jung went 3-3 with a 4.24 ERA in 2006; the ultimate LOOGY, he only pitched 46 2/3 innings in 82 games. He struck out 47 batters. Jung led the Korea Baseball Organization in games pitched, 12 ahead of the runner-up.
In 2007, the Busan native was 0-1 with a 4.28 ERA. He played a strong role in the Wyverns' amazing 2008 KBO campaign, when they set a new league record for wins. Jung was 9-2 with a 2.05 ERA in 85 games. He again paced the KBO in games pitched, this time 20 ahead of his nearest competitor. SK went on to win the 2008 Korean Series.
