Biographical Information[edit]
Willy Pieters won five batting titles in Curaçao, plus two home run crowns and a MVP. Playing for the Netherlands Antilles national team, he led the 1970 Central American and Caribbean Games in average (.560) and hits (14). He also played in the 1965 Amateur World Series, 1970 Amateur World Series, 1972 Haarlem Baseball Week (sharing the home run king title) and 1973 FIBA Amateur World Series. He made the Curaçao Olympic Committee's Hall of Fame.
