Washington Star
(Redirected from The Washington Star)
The Washington Star, previously known as the Washington Star-News and the Washington Evening Star, was a daily afternoon newspaper published in Washington, D.C. between 1852 and 1981. For most of that time it was the city's newspaper of record although it was later eclipsed by the Washington Post. Thomas C. Noyes, owner of the Washington Senators in the early years of the 20th Century, was the paper's editor and publisher and successor to its founder. Tim Kurkjian got his start in journalism working for the Star.
