Associated Press
(Redirected from The Associated Press)
One of the oldest wire services, Associated Press formed in 1848; it is now possibly the largest wire service in the world. AP reports are used frequently by smaller American newspapers to save on costs, as they don't have to pay staff. Even many larger newspapers use their reports frequently for both international and national coverage.
Murray Chass, Zander Hollander, Murray Janoff, Norman Mac Lean, Bert Rosenthal and Dan Schlossberg worked for the Associated Press.
