Biographical Information[edit]
Solmarys Brito was an infielder for Venezuela in the 2010 Women's Baseball World Cup. In the country's first-ever Women's Baseball World Cup win against a nation that had medalled previously, Brito scored the winning run in an extra-inning 3-2 win over Canada, driven home by Nidia Pineda. Against Cuba, she drove in Marianne Perez with the winner in the bottom of the 7th. For the event, she hit .185/.241/.185 with 6 runs and fielded .909 in 8 games as Venezuela finished a strong 4th. She remained with Venezuela for the 2012 Women's Baseball World Cup.
