Slugger
(Redirected from Sluggers)
A slugger is defined as a player who easily makes extra-base hits and home runs. The term comes from the verb 'to slog' meaning to strike with heavy blows. A synonym is Power hitter. The world's best-known bat is the Louisville Slugger.
Slugger has also become a pet name that fathers often give to young sons.
Slugger is also the name of Ted Williams' dalmatian that was his constant companion at the end of his life.
