Biographical Information[edit]

Ron Piché spent one season as a Montreal Expos coach in 1976. He worked for many years for the Expos as a minor league pitching instructor and in community relations.

For three years with the Milwaukee Braves (1961-1963), Piché teamed with Claude Raymond, a fellow Québécois, as members of the Braves' bullpen.

Inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 1988, he lost lost a lengthy battle with complications from cancer in early 2011. In 2013, the city of Montreal, QC honored him by naming a ballpark in his honor in the Verdun neighborhood where he was born, the "Stade Ron-Piché".
