Biographical Information[edit]
Ramón Pacheco played for the Mexican national team in the 1990 Goodwill Games, 1993 Central American and Caribbean Games (a Silver, their best finish in 39 years) and 1995 Pan American Games. In the 1995 Intercontinental Cup, he hit .111/.111/.165 as Mexico's starting shortstop but handled 22 chances error-free and turned five double plays. He played for Mexico's softball team in the 2000 World Championships.
He made his Mexican League debut in 2007 at age 38, hitting .251/.341/.351 in 59 games for the Potros de Tijuana, fielding .977 at short; he was their most-used shortstop. He was 0 for 13 the next year to end his LMB career but was still active in local leagues at age 46.
