Biographical Information[edit]
Tommy Butts played ten seasons in the Negro Leagues as a premier defensive shortstop who was used regularly as his team's leadoff hitter. His best seasons came with the Baltimore Elite Giants of the Negro National League immediately after World War II. Following his Negro League career, he played in the Western League.
