Óscar Giménez pitched for Hércules l'Hospitalet in the 2007 Division Honor; the 15-year-old allowed 13 hits, 8 walks and 6 runs in 9 1/3 IP. He did not pitch in the Division Honor in 2008 or 2009. He was with Spain for the 2009 European Junior Championship, going 2 for 16 at the plate and posting a 1-1, 1.38 record on the hill with 15 K and 7 hits in 13 IP. He lost to Italy but beat the Czech Republic. He was then invited to the 2009 MLB European Academy and put on Spain's preliminary roster for the 2009 Baseball World Cup but did not make the final cut.

He moved to FC Barcelona in 2010.
