Biographical Information

Coming from a family of pro baseball players, catcher Nicholas Merullo played briefly in the minors.

Merullo was two-time All-State as a quarterback in high school. After attending James Madison University, Merullo played in the Baltimore Orioles chain in 2014. He began that season with the GCL Orioles, going 1-for-22 in 10 games. He then played two games for the Aberdeen IronBirds, who were managed by his father, former big leaguer Matt Merullo.

Aside from his father, Merullo's great grandfather Lennie Merullo played in the majors. His grandfather, Leonard Jr., also played in the minors.
