Irish-American pitcher Nat Anglin has played for the Irish national team, as has his brother Doug Anglin. Nat allowed 7 runs in 6 2/3 IP for Suffolk University in 2007. In the 2008 European Championship Qualifiers, he started for Ireland against Portugal, allowing 7 runs on 8 walks and 5 hits in 7 innings, while striking out 8; he had a no-decision. He was back in the 2011 European Championship Qualifiers, going 3 for 9 with a double and a walk for Ireland. On the mound, he got one of Ireland's two wins, beating Finland with 11 strikeouts, 6 hits, 2 runs and no walks.
