Biographical Information

Outfielder Luis Gonzalez saw only limited action in his first two major league seasons with the San Francisco Giants in 2020 and 2021, appearing in 3 and 6 games respectively and going 2 for 9. However, he got a chance to play more regularly in 2022 and after playing in 8 games in April, he caught fire in May. During that month, he batted .368 in 23 games, with 1 homer and 13 RBIs, and was named the National League Rookie of the Month.
