Biographical Information[edit]

Jim Reilly was an infielder for the New York Metropolitans of the American Association in 1885, hitting .175 in 10 games as a second baseman and third baseman. He had formerly played for Manhattan College and was active as a semi-pro player around new York City and in New Jersey throughout the 1880s. His first name was later confused with that of his brother Joseph "Joe" Reilly, who was also an amateur player.

Following his baseball career, he became an assemblyman in New York, NY, with links to Tammany Hall.
