Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Jeff Williams was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the first round of the 1980 amateur draft and made his debut that summer with the Bluefield Orioles, hitting .346. He played in the O's organization through 1986 and made a comeback in 1989 in the New York Yankees system but never played above the AA level. Burns suffered in a cooking accident injured his right hand and ultimately ended his baseball career.

Williams died in a motorcycle accident at age 44.
