Biographical Information

On May 17, 2022, pitcher Jean Carlos Mejía was suspended for 80 games for testing positive for a PED. On September 20, 2023, he was suspended again, this time for 162 games, for a similar offence; both times, the substance was old-school steroid Stanozolol. He was on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation at the time of the second suspension.

He is also known as J.C. Mejía.
