Biographical Information[edit]
Iván Carradero pitched in Puerto Rico's amateur leagues for 15 years, with Yubacoa and Humacao. He was 5-0 in 1963, 9-3 with a 2.37 ERA in 1965 and 8-1 in 1967. He pitched for the Puerto Rican national team when they won the Bronze Medal in the 1962 Central American and Caribbean Games. His obituary said he also won the Silver Medal with Puerto Rico in the 1966 Central American and Caribbean Games but he does not show up on the medal winner list for prior Central American and Caribbean Games printed in 2010 (they do list him in 1962). He and his brother José Carradero were inducted into the Puerto Rican Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991, the first pair of brothers so honored.
