Emiro Álvarez was an infielder on the Venezuelan national team in the 1951 Amateur World Series (winning Silver), 1952 Amateur World Series, 1953 Amateur World Series (Silver), 1954 Central American and Caribbean Games (Venezuela's first Gold in that event) and 1955 Pan American Games (Bronze).
