Don Fehr

Donald M. Fehr was the head of the Major League Baseball Players Association from 1985 until his retirement in 2009. He had been the union's General Counsel before succeeding Ken Moffett, who was fired for being perceived as too conciliatory. In contrast, fehr, like the MLBPA's first executive director, Marvin Miller, had a direct and confrontational style.

He is best known for leading the players during the successful battle against collusion in the 1980s and for his work on the 1994 strike. He was succeeded by Michael Weiner.
