Biographical Information[edit]

Daryl Cronk was a minor league pitcher, scout and college coach.

Cronk set records for his college in wins (27) and innings pitched (258 2/3). He went 2-3 with two saves and a 6.36 ERA for the 1999 River City Rascals. He then was assistant coach for the 2000 Pittsburg State University team and scouted for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He was assistant coach for Pembroke Hill High School (2004-2007), the University of Central Missouri (2008-2010) and Rockhurst University (2011) before being named head coach of Avila University for 2012. He died nine years later of COVID-19; he was 46 years old and he had not been vaccinated.
