Biographical Information

Catcher Dan Newman played in the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves system from 1958 to 1966. Perhaps his best campaign was 1959 with the Class D Midland Braves, when he hit .298/.380/.450 with 6 home runs and 90 RBI in 102 games. He batted .263/.335/.381 with 27 home runs and 274 RBI for his career, including his tenure in the Florida East Coast Instructional League.

He served in the Marines and the Delaware National Guard.
