Biographical Information[edit]

Bill Moore was manager of the Santa Fe Fuego from 2012 to 2015. He led the team to a Pecos League championship victory in 2014 and took the club to the playoffs in 2015, but resigned abruptly right before the postseason began. He was replaced by pitching coach Jake Mitzner. He managed the Garden City Wind in 2016. He led the Bakersfield Train Robbers in 2017, the Tucson Saguaros in 2018 and the Wasco Reserve in 2019.

Prior to working for Santa Fe, he was manager of the Bisbee Copper Kings of the Pacific Southwest Baseball League in 2010 and 2011. From 1978 to 2009, he was general manager of the Garden of Gears club in the same league. He served as assistant coach at Mesa Community College from 2000 to 2007 and was the South Mountain Community College pitching in 1986. From 1983 to 1985, he was assistant coach at McClintock High School.

He worked as an associate scout for the Montreal Expos (1989), Chicago Cubs (1990-1992), Houston Astros (1993-1997) and Tampa Bay Devil Rays (1998-2003).

He had been a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association since 1984. He was the first person elected to the Pecos League Hall of Fame.

He served with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
