Ballpark History[edit]
The Class D and later Class C Hammond Berries called Pat Kenelly Diamond home from 1946-1951, though it was then known as Berry Stadium.
It is now named after Pat Kenelly, the longest tenured Southeastern Louisiana University baseball coach in program history. Kenelly also served as athletic director and both assistant and head football coach in his time at the university, from 1948 to 1977. The diamond was dedicated to him on February 19, 2006.
Stadium features include lighting, dugouts, concession stands, a picnic area, a clubhouse, and a players' lounge. A hitting facility was finished beyond left field in 2011, and a new clubhouse down the left field line is planned to open before the 2024 season.
SLU ranked 27th nationally in total attendance during the 2021 season and 29th in average attendance per game.
