Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Jesus Sanchez played in the Mexican League and Mexican Pacific Winter League from 2007 to 2019. In the Mexican League, he went 47-60 with a 5.56 ERA in 283 games (154 starts). In 973 2/3 innings, he allowed 1,190 hits and 334 walks, while striking out 615 batters. In the winter league, he went 29-30 with a 4.29 ERA in 110 games (74 starts). In 427 2/3 innings, he allowed 444 hits and 150 walks, while striking out 227 batters. Between the two, he went a combined 76-90 with a 5.18 ERA in 393 games (228 starts). In 1,401 1/3 innings, he allowed 1,634 hits and 484 walks, while striking out 842 batters. Though he played all over the Mexican League, he spent the majority of his winter league career with the Venados de Mazatlan. He helped Mazatlan take the league pennant in 2008. He was on the Mexican national team that won Silver in the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games.
