Adir Ferrán has played for the Elefantes de Cienfuegos in the Cuban Serie Nacional.

Ferrán hit .200/.231/.318 in 2007-2008 as a backup C-1B-LF. Through that season, his third, he had hit .226 and slugged .319 in 270 AB. In 2008-2009, Adir improved to .290/.324/.409 in 62 games as a catcher.

Ferrán produced at a .321/.359/.539 rate in 2009-2010 with 15 home runs and 68 RBI in 89 games and fielded .988 while alternating between catcher and DH; he threw out 13 of 29 attempted base-stealers. He tied for fifth in the league with five triples and led with 8 sacrifice flies.
