William M. Stillwell

Biographical Information[edit]
William Stillwell played in the minor leagues from 1909 to 1912. In his final campaign, with the Auburn Athletics of the MINK League, he hit .310 in 310 at-bats; he batted .247 for his career. He managed the Newton Railroaders in 1909 (replacing Con Harlow) and 1912 (they also played as the Minneapolis Minnies that year).
He died in a shotgun accident in 1913.
He has also been listed as A. Stilwell and A. Stillwell. The potential does exist that they are different people, but the data generally points to William Stillwell.
