Biographical Information[edit]
Ángel Castillo played for 13 years in the Cuban Serie Nacional. He drew 28 walks for the Granjeros in 1974-1975, leading the league. In 1977-1978, he tied for the Serie Nacional lead with 7 hit-by-pitches while playing for Ciego de Ávila. For his career, he hit .238/.341/.276, getting much of his offensive value from walks. An infielder, he fielded .960 in 858 games and turned 321 double plays. He later coached for Ciego de Ávila.
