Well, here's an interesting one, using the Team Batting Game Finder. Most runs scored with no hits:

Many of these games jump off the page as well known no-hitters or games that were once considered no-hitters before the rules were changed.
A lot of you will have specific memories of a lot of these. #1 is the famous Andy Hawkins non-no-hitter where the White Sox scored 4 runs in the 8th on a series of walks and errors, including a big error by Jim Leyritz. It wasn't long after this game that MLB ruled that a pitcher (or combination of pitchers) would not be credited with a no-hitter in a game that didn't go at least 9 innings. It's still remarkable that Hawkins pitched 8 no-hit innings, not pitching the 9th since the White Sox won and the game was in Chicago.
Game #2 above is similar, a complete hitless game by Matt Young. The Indians scored once in the 1st on a walk, stolen base, and an error and then once more in the 3rd on a couple of walks, a stolen base, and a fielder's choice. Boston went on to lose 2-1 and like Hawkins, Young pitched 8 hitless innings since the game was in Cleveland.
The list includes several bona fide no hitters where the losing team did manage to push across a run without a hit: games by Darryl Kile, Joe Cowley, George Culver, Dean Chance, and others.

Thanks for correcting a painful memory. I always remembered the Matt Young game as a 4-1 loss. It should be noted, unless memory fails me here as well, the error in question was one of Young's yips throws to first. `What a free agent signing he was.

Tom, you can check that yourself by clicking on the date of the game above, which takes you to the boxscore. Actually that error was not on Young. but rather on SS Luis Rivera, another questionable free-agent signing.

If memory serve correct, I don't think the no hitter was rescinded because Hawkins lost, but because he didn't pitch 9 innings. If the game had been a home game for Hawkins, I believe that it would have counted.

Well, I looked up the rules on MLB.com, which seemed to say that, and then I checked the wikipedia page on it. Though certainly not a rock-solid source, that's also what it said. The new rules are that it has to be at least 9 innings, and that games that are hitless through nine but include hit(s) in extra innings are not no-hitters (e.g.. Harvey Haddix.)

Cleveland-Boston was also only an 8 inning no-hitter.
That leaves 2 official no hitters in which the team throwing the no-no lost.
Steve Barber (8.2) and Stu Miller (0.1) combined in 1967.
That leaves Ken Johnson as the only pitcher to throw a 9 inning complete game no hitter and lose. (04-23-1964) The recently deceased Joe Nuxhall pitched a 5 hit shutout for the win.

MLB makes so many lame decisions. Really, *I* should be in charge of everything. In 1991 they changed the rules for no-hitters, and they went back RETROACTIVELY and took no-hitters away from pitchers!!! I think that's rude and lame.
By the way, it was a 21-year old Sammy Sosa (batting 8th) who started that 4-run "rally" (for lack of a better word) against Andy Hawkins.

BTW since 1957 there have been 9 complete games of less than 9 innings in which a pitcher has not allowed a hit (7 of them before 1991) http://www.bb-ref.com/pi/shareit/Qqdf .

Both wacky Perez brother (Pascal and Melido) make that list. Both of those guys had a lot of talent and could have had truly great careers.
