Most Consecutive Games with More than 9 IP
Posted by Raphy on August 3, 2009
From September 16-22, 2002 the Rangers met the Mariners in Seattle for a late season 4 game series. The teams played each other very close. So close, in fact that for the only time since 1954 all the games of a four game series went into extra innings.
The Rangers and Mariners were 2 of just 6 teams since 1954 whose pitchers threw more than 9 innings in 4 consecutive games. (I don't know if these are the longest extra innings streaks because a visiting team can lose in extra innings and only record 9 IP)

You could add the 1980 NLCS between Houston and Philadelphia to that list, if you were to include postseason games.

Cool list. I like how the Pirates postseason streak extended over four years, yet involved the same competition.

http://www.baseball-almanac.com/recbooks/rb_gmlg.shtml says the 1908 Tigers played a record 5 consecutive extra-inning games, 9 to 13 September.

Yankeefan25- Follow the first link in the post and scroll down until you find the highlighted games. If you click on the date for each game it will give you the box score.
