All Runs – Solo HRs in the Post Season
Posted by Raphy on October 4, 2011
The Rangers hit 4 HRS, but scored only 4 runs in their decisive win today against the Rays. They became the third team to have 4 solo shots account for all of their runs in a postseason game.
Here are the all the teams with at least 3 solo HRS in a post-season game in which the HRs were the only runs they scored.

And only the third of those teams to win the game.
Good to see the Rangers show off the power that has come to exemplify their offense. If they can mix up the long ball and the small ball to go along with their improved pitching and defense, then there's no telling how far they can go.

Pop quiz time! Which pitcher started the only postseason game in which the opponent had at least 1 hit and all their hits were HRs?

Three games involving my Dodgers, and they lost all three...

Somebody's (not my) Red Sox did the same thing, and in a stretch of only nine years!

@5,
Ken Caminity "The Carpet Cleaner", one of my favorite all-time nicknames for one of my favorite players. Unfortunately his life was a real tragedy.

@7, Sorry, "Caminiti", I have to work on my spelling

At least the pitcher in @2 eventually got a (regular season) no-hitter, in which all of the runs in his support came on a home run hit by one of the guys listed in the postseason 7 innings or later pinch hit home runs list in another topic posted in reaction to yesterday's games (although this one was not as a pinch hitter).
