Even if (perish the thought) Ransom goes 0-for-5, he'll still have 8 times on base in 15 plate appearances, which is .533, and 14 total bases in 13 at-bats, which is 1.077, for a 1.610 OPS, second only to Puccinelli.

The top 2 lists are populated with guys that never made it, not even Fatty McDonald that homered in his first 2 at bats. When you get to the 20 AB list, you see a few guys who impressed in September and went on to better things (Greg Walker, Rich Aurelia and J.D. Drew) and some guys who never really panned out, like the incredible JOE FREAKING LIS!!
